The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognizes food safety management systems that have met its rigorous benchmarking requirements developed by global food safety experts. Their main objective is to reduce food safety risks and share their vision of ‘safe food for consumers everywhere’. GFSI requires certification by an accredited certification body which ensures assessment is on a consistent basis.
